Pre and Post Treatment Guidlines
We want you to have the best experience and outcome so to ensure a smooth experience and optimal results, kindly take a moment to carefully review the essential pre and post treatment guidelines we've provided for your benefit. For 2 weeks before or after treatment, please abstain from the flu shot, any vaccinations, antibiotics (if possible), travel by air, and dental work. Oral Arnica purchased at a supplement store may be taken 48 hours pre and post-treatment to aid in minimizing bruising, bleeding, and also aid in the healing process.
Dysport/Xeomin/Botox
Pre-Treatment
48 hours before your treatment, it is best to avoid the following: Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin (consult with your doctor first),Alcohol
Also try to avoid the following to minimize the risk of bleeding and bruising: Vitimin E, Omega Fatty Acids
Ginko Biloba, Garlic, Tumeric, Ginseng, Flax
Treatment is contraindicated if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, or suffer from any neuromuscular disorders.
Post-Treatment
For 4 hours after, avoid sleeping, lying down, working out, or rubbing the treated area. No saunas or hot tubs for 48hrs, and for 2 weeks pre & post treatment, sustain from flu shot or antibiotics (if possible).
Also avoid laser treatments and permanent brow tattooing 2 weeks.
Dermal Fillers
Pre-Treatment
48 hours before your treatment, it is best to avoid the following: Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Alcohol
Aspirin (consult with your doctor first)
Also try to avoid the following Vitimin E, Omega Fatty Acids,
Garlic, Ginko Biloba, Garlic,
Tumeric, Ginseng. Please check to see if any other supplements you take are blood thinning.
If you are prone to cold sores, Valtrex is recommended before lip treatments. Contact your pharmacist or Trudy and she can get an order for you prior to your treatment to be sent to your pharmacy. 1 week notice is required. Treatment is contraindicated if you are pregnant/breastfeeding.
Post-Treatment
or 48 hours after, avoid strenuous exercise, heat, sun, and significant massage or movement to the treated area unless instructed by the practitioner.
A cold compress may be applied for 15 minutes every hour as needed to help with any swelling.
Avoid laser treatments for 2 weeks.
Chemical Glow Peel
Pre-Treatment
It is beneficial to use AlumierMD or other medical grade skin care products routinely to prepare the skin, and allow for better treatment results, but make sure to halt any actives such as Retinoids, Tretinoin, AHA’s BHA’s etc. a minimum of 5 days prior. If you are lactating, pregnant, or may be pregnant, consult your physician before receiving treatment. Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum 14 days prior to and post treatment.
Chemical peels are prohibited if you are on Accutane.
Post-Treatment
AVOID DIRECT SUN EXPOSURE AND EXCESSIVE HEAT FOR 5 DAYS
Only use the products in post procedure kit, or alternatives discussed with Trudy for 7 days post treatment. Discontinue use of any product that irritates the skin. Keep your skin hydrated. Hydration is key to proper healing. Do not cleanse your skin the evening of your peel. Do not pick or pull any flakes- it prolongs recovery.
Do not have electrolysis, waxing, threading or any form of hair removal, retinoid acid, AHA or BHA for 14 days post peel. Do not apply ice or ice water on the treated area. Do not use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, and/or excessively hot showers, swimming for 5 days post peel. Do not participate in aerobic exercise for 2 days post peel.

Read Thoroughly
Proper preparation before your YouLaser treatment ensures optimal results and minimizes risks.
1. Consultation and Medical Clearance:
Inform your provider about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or recent illnesses.
Disclose any recent sun exposure, tanning, or use of self-tanning products.
2. Skin Preparation:
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 4 weeks before the treatment.
Discontinue any retinoids (e.g., tretinoin), exfoliating acids (e.g., glycolic acid), for 5-7 days before the treatment and other photosensitizing agents for 7-10 days before the treatment.
Do not use harsh scrubs, light chemical peels, or waxing in the treatment area for 1 week before the procedure. For medium chemical peels, wait 4 weeks before the procedure.
Medications: Stop using blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) or supplements (e.g., fish oil, vitamin E) at least 7 days before treatment unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
If prescribed, begin antiviral prophylaxis to prevent cold sore outbreaks (especially for facial treatments)
as per directed.

On Day Of Procedure
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid applying any lotions, perfumes, or deodorants to the treatment area. Wear loose-fitting clothing if the treatment area is on your body.Pain or Discomfort: Sensation of burning, stinging, or tenderness during or after the procedure. Prolonged Healing Time: Healing may take longer for some patients. Cold Sores (Herpes Simplex Virus): Activation of dormant cold sores in patients with a history of herpes simplex. Acne Rash: In some prone individuals, acne breakouts may appear due to inflammation caused by the treatment. Follow your specialist's advice.
Contraindications
The Youlaser MT treatment is not suitable for individuals with the following conditions: Active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area. Recent use of isotretinoin (within the last 6-12 months). Pregnancy or breastfeeding.History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. Severe or uncontrolled medical conditions such as diabetes or autoimmune diseases. Active herpes simplex or other viral infections in the treatment area. Recent excessive sun exposure or use of tanning beds. Known photosensitivity or use of photosensitizing medications. Immunosuppressive therapy or conditions. Skin cancer or suspicious lesions in the treatment.

Discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliants, and other skin-irritating products 5-7 days before treatment.
Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, and medical conditions, including pregnancy or breastfeeding.
If you have a history of cold sores, antiviral medication may be prescribed or is accessible from a pharmacist.
Post-Treatment
Follow all aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.
Keep the treated area clean and moisturized with Vaseline or Aquaphor.
Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen as directed.
Avoid picking, peeling, or scratching the treated area.
